“Allow the little ones to come to Me, and do not forbid or restrain or hinder them, for of such [as these] is the kingdom of heaven composed.” Jesus, Matthew 19:14
At Harvest Barn Church, we believe when we look in the eyes of our children, it’s as if we’re looking in the eyes of Jesus himself. Joseph and David were still young when they impacted nations, and our children are encouraged to be trendsetters, living God out loud wherever they go.
Holy Spirit gifts, God’s love & worship
When attending a Harvest Barn Church service, children are encouraged to worship freely, whether through dance or song. It’s important to bring up children in the ways of Christ by teaching them Biblical principles, such as how to walk in God’s love, pray for others and stand for Truth (Proverbs 22:6).
going to kids class
After worship, children attend their own service, organized by Pastors Joe and Tai Kishefsky and their team. The Harvest Barn “Jr. Church” is broken into two groups: the Mighty Munchkins, ages 3-6, and the Jesus Warriors, ages 7-11. Both classes utilize the five senses to illustrate that month’s teaching theme. We do this with skits, arts and crafts, creative snacks, holiday programs, interactive lessons and fun songs.
It’s important the children understand that they’re just as important as “big people.” God cares for them and seeks to bless them just like He cares and seeks to bless their parents and family.
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and who whoever welcomes me does not welcome me, but the One who sent me,” Jesus, Mark 9:37.
