I was raised to believe in Jesus in a Catholic home. I went to catechism and mass on many Sundays and especially on holidays. I, however, missed out on the part in my spiritual training that taught me how to incorporate Jesus into my everyday decisions and make Him truly Lord of my life.

Then I met a man who was unorthodox (to say the least). He was barefoot. He was wearing cutoff shorts. And,  he had longer hair. But, he never failed to mention Jesus in our conversations.

It put me off at first. I mean, I knew Jesus, right? I never talked about Him unless I was drunk and the thought of Jesus never had any affect on any decisions I made – except one.

I became pregnant.

just tell me the truth

Pastor Bridgette and Kimon Criner of Harvest Barn ChurchTelling the truth is something we all know is right. We know we shouldn’t lie.

But how are you at hearing the truth? Most people think they love the truth and really appreciate it when people take the high road. Yet, for some reason, they have a hard time understanding that there is only one truth when it comes to eternity.

In John 14:6, Jesus said to John: I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one come to the Father except by (through) me.

That, my friend, is the truth.
