Good God, Bad Devil

Have you ever paid attention to the “traffic” that is going on in your mind? Sometimes the devil shoots so many firey darts at your mind that it’s like a 6-lane expressway each going 90 miles per hour!

Far too often, we allow this to go on much too long before we hold up the stop sign. We should stop the devil quickly by slamming on the brakes and commanding him to stop in the name of JESUS. Satan is a liar. As a matter of fact, he is the father of all lies, according to John 8:44.

This reminds me of  a simple lesson we teach the kids in Sunday school: Good God, bad devil. If what you’re hearing go through your mind is good, then it’s God. Also true is, if what you’re hearing go through your mind is bad, then it’s the devil (the liar).

It’s a super easy way to separate what’s what. We have got to get up and command the devil to stop. There is power in the name of Jesus. We must rise up and use the authority that Jesus gave to us.  In Luke 9:1 it says, “For I have given you authority over the devil.” So we have authority over his lies as well. When the devil looks at us we need to know for absolute certain that he is shaking in his shoes because we have authority over him.

Remember, the devil is a liar. Good God, bad devil. Keep it simple folks.
