moving the mountain

Got problems? Is life not working out the way you thought?

My mother always said, “When all else fails, read the instructions!” Sounds funny, but it has always worked for me.

We’re always trying to figure things out our own way. We go around and around our mountain several times instead of getting out our instruction manual to learn how to make it move. This instruction manual is The Bible, and it tells us to know and receive instruction (Proverbs 1:2-3).

reading the instructions
God, in His infinite wisdom and unending love for us, probably smiles and laughs at us a lot! Why? Because He gave us a book filled with His answers for every situation that could ever arise in our lives. As a loving Father, He will let us continue to go around those mountains until we stop to see what His Word says about it. Let the Word of God guide you through your situation.

1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all cares, anxieties and worries on God. See what His Word says: He cares about you.

Wow! – Think about it. God cares when our relationships aren’t working. He cares when our life is in upset. He cares when we can’t seem to make ends meet. He cares so much that He gave us a book filled with wisdom and instruction to help us through life.

arming yourself
Take a moment to find the scripture you need before you begin your day. Take it with you, use it, speak and believe it throughout the day. See what happens!

Try starting with Deuteronomy 30:15-20.  Let God’s instruction manual for life guide your daily life. It’s a choice – will you have it your way or God’s way?
