Team Jesus

“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ,” 1 Corinthians 12:12.

Welcome to the first blog of Harvest Barn Church! We consider ourselves to be one part of the whole of the body of Christ. We have some unusual parts and parts that probably look a lot like the parts you’re familiar with.

This part of Christ’s body has a passion for God’s word, the gifts of the Holy Spirit and worship. We believe in walking in love and encouraging the dreams God has put in the individual member. We believe in healing the sick and in fellowship. We believe that “iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17), and we believe that love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). The church as His body must be ambassadors of the love of God.

being a part of His team
All members of the body of Christ (the anointed one and His anointing) have a mission in this earth that will lead to fulfilling the plan and dream of God.

If I can relate this to a football team, all the members would need to stay healthy, show up for practices, be consistent and cooperative. Each team member must appreciate the hard work of those around them and regulate their lives according to the team schedules and protocols. Their lives are all about making the team successful. If every player did what he or she felt like doing instead of cooperating as a team, touchdowns would be hard to come by. In the body of Christ, every time someone walks in love instead of anger, it’s like a touchdown. Every time someone puts someone else’s needs in front of their own—touchdown. Every time you minister and tell someone that God is not mad and will not count their sins against them if they accept Jesus—touchdown!

We all have a lot of yards to run in our lives. Some will be challenging, some will be easy, but as long as we keep showing love to our fellow man, we’re going to have winning score of love when it’s all said and done.

The Harvest Barn Church ministry has a heart to make you a successful, loving Christian whose life will hold up to the scrutiny of eternity.

Come be part of something bigger than you. Jesus is calling!
